Stillage Tank Fitting Advice
Removing the IBC tank from its Metal Cage:
Remove the four holding screws from both of the horizontal top bars.
Roll the unit onto its side – ensure the outlet is facing upwards.
Grasp one of the horizontal top bars….
…pull towards you and the plastic tank slides easily from its metal frame.
Reverse the procedure to replace the tank.
Changing the Outlet Valve:
Loosen the valve fitting from the thread end using a Stilson or similar.
Unscrew the valve by hand. Do not use the valve handle to unscrew the fitting.
Your IBC outlet can now be fitted with an attachment to suite your requirements.
Measuring your Fittings:
This is the measurement of a normal standard 55mm tank outlet.
This is the female measurement of the standard 55mm thread ‘blue handle’ valve we sell.
This is the female measurement of the 75mm thread ‘red handle’ valve we sell.
Quick Check for which Tap Size is Required:
Remove old tap (see second section above). Turn tap around and line up against tank outlet.
hole. If thread is identical size and bore you will require a BLUE handle tap. However if the tank
bore hole is larger than the tap outlet thread you need to purchase the RED handle tap.
Threaded Extension Spout:
These spouts can be bought as a single item but unlike other spouts that we sell…
…they have a male thread on the outlet point so they can be attached to one another…
…giving extra reach, to prevent spilling and splashes or to suit a specific purpose.
